Reviews
I have eaten here quite a few times for lunch and I have to say that I really enjoy it. The place is really neat and clean and you can dine in if you like. The wait is not very long and the service is great. The portions are decent. I have only ever tried the Halaal chicken platter. It is my go to if I want something hearty, filling, and fast.
Having eaten at Juicy Platters, I may make the switch to here. The meat tastes better here. I had a mix of beef and chicken and it was hot but delicious! The white sauce tastes better here too. It's less solid and yogurty than other places. I also prefer the rice here. Only issues: they had a giant TV tuned into golf today. Doesn't really fit the vibe. Also, there really isn't much room to eat. If you're not sitting by a window, you're staring at a blue wall right in front of you. Also, the pita that comes with the platter was a little dry. Otherwise I loved it!
One of my favorite place for halal. I guess you can call it preference but their meat quality and rice I much better than other local favorites. Plus you have other options if other people are not feeling halal and other option is amazing as well. Overall this place got my vote 5 stars
Solid platters place for sure. I love the mixed platters. All reasonably priced. The rice at Phat Platters is different than other places. It's like a dirty rice with all-spice seasoning on it. It's good. Most other platters places I've been to do yellow rice with less all-spice more cumin and chili powder (not entirely sure though). I like the change of pace. Their falafel is okay nothing to write home about. The wings are also just okay. They have phat sandwiches too which sound bangin' but I have yet to try them. I eat here pretty frequently as it's right by my house so I can stop in after work. Also, they're on Uber Eats so if I'm feeling lazy it gets delivered right to my door.
Doesn't look like anything much when you drive past. It's actually easy to miss: on 17 and it's in a small strip right after a merge, high chance of accidents. Got mix platter (beef, chicken, falafel). White sauce and hot sauce was good. Nothing banging and out of this world but the most decent chicken and rice in the bergen county area. Food tastes home made, which is always a good sign. Portion is decent and staff is very friendly. Would definitely pick up or eat in the next time I am in the area. Yum yum yum.
